The 51st match of the Women’s Big Bash League 2023 was played between Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Renegades on Thursday, November 23, at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart. Melbourne Renegades won the toss and chose to bowl first. Lizelle Lee and Elyse Villani started strong for Hobart Hurricanes, scoring 55 runs for the first wicket. Although they lost two more wickets, Lee and Heather Graham managed to forge a partnership of 102 runs for the fourth wicket. Lee went on to score 101 runs off 53 deliveries, becoming only the second batter to score a century for the Hurricanes in WBBL. The Hurricanes made a total of 212 runs for the loss of three wickets, their highest ever total in WBBL history, surpassing the 200-run mark for the first time in the competition.
