Magic Squad, winners of the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2023, displayed remarkable dominance in the Grand Finals, securing three wins in six matches and accumulating an impressive 112 points. The one-day final witnessed intense competition among the top 12 teams globally, vying for the coveted title and a remarkable $1 million in prize money.
The Brazilian club’s journey was characterized by consistency, as they clinched fourth place in the knockout stage and secured second place in the Points Rush stage of the FFWS.
Beginning with a commendable 12 headstart points, Magic Squad continued their stellar performance in the finals, being the only team to surpass the 100-point mark and rightfully claiming the championship crown. The team took home a cash prize of $300K.
Buriram United Esports from Thailand secured second place with 95 points, showcasing exceptional gameplay from the initial stages to the finals. Despite a slow start, they narrowly missed the title.
Another strong Thai team, CGGG, entered the finals with the highest head start points but settled for third place with 89 points, as they faced challenges in accumulating placement points.
Indonesian team RRQ Kazu performed consistently, securing fourth place with 72 points, while Brazillian squad LOUD finished seventh with 66 points.
EXP Esports, dominant in the knockout stage, underperformed in both the Points Rush and finals, finishing in sixth position with 68 points. However, EXP Dew emerged as the MVP of the tournament, showcasing exceptional performance with 110 kills and over 94k hp of damage.
Vietnamese teams GOW and P Esports struggled in the finals and ended up in the bottom two positions. Both clubs also had disappointing performances in the previous stage.
