A new balance in Boston will feature American athlete Gabby Thomas, Noah Lyles, and Jake Wightman. Thomas expressed excitement about competing at the event, a crucial part of the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold. The 26-year-old athlete had a spectacular run in the 2023 World Athletics Championships, winning a gold medal in the 4x100m relay and a silver medal in the 200m race. She previously won silver in the 4x100m relay and bronze in the 200m race at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Thomas confirmed that she, Lyles, and Wightman will compete in the upcoming championships. Moreover, Thomas clarified that she was not competing in the New York Marathon, where she was seen supporting friends. She mentioned the possibility of competing in a half-marathon long after retirement.
