The last league game of the Women’s Big Bash League 2023 saw the Sydney Sixers Women secure a nine-wicket win over the Sydney Thunder Women. The Adelaide Strikers also claimed a 77-run win over the Hobart Hurricanes in the first game of the day. Both matches were held at the Sydney Cricket Ground on November 26. The Strikers batted first and posted a total of 164/3, with Laura Wolvaardt impressing with 73 runs off 65 balls. The Hurricanes struggled during the chase, eventually collapsing to 87 runs in 16 overs.
In the second game, the Thunder opted to bat first but failed to make a significant impact, only managing to reach 123 runs in 19.5 overs. The Sixers then comfortably chased down the target in just 17.3 overs, with Ellyse Perry playing a crucial role with an unbeaten 82-run knock.
With the conclusion of the league phase, Brisbane Heat and Sydney Thunder will face off in the eliminator on November 28, while the Perth Scorchers will take on the winner on November 29. The Adelaide Strikers have already secured a spot in the final on December 2.
