The U19 Men’s Quadrangular Series 2023 kicked off on Monday with two games. India under-19 A triumphed over Bangladesh under-19 by nine wickets, while India under-19 B defeated England under-19 by seven wickets. India B leads with a Net Run Rate of +3.555, followed by India A with +2.314. Bangladesh and England trail in third and fourth place, with Net Run Rates of -2.314 and -3.555, respectively.
India U19 A chased down 160 runs in just 29.4 overs against Bangladesh U19, with Naman Tiwari taking five wickets for 33 runs and being named Player of the Match. Arshin Kulkarni and Adarsh Singh also contributed with half-centuries. In the second game, India U19 B’s openers, Rudra Patel and Vaibhav Suryavanshi, scored 112 runs for the first wicket, with Patel remaining unbeaten on 90 runs off 77 deliveries.
England under-19 won the toss and elected to bat, but they lost five wickets for 39 runs. Despite crucial knocks from Luc Benkenstein, Noah Thain, and Sebastian Morgan, they were all out for 201 runs. Jayant Goyat and Prem were standout bowlers for India B, taking four and three wickets, respectively.
