South Africa’s Quinton de Kock considered retirement before upcoming series against India, reveals coach Rob Walter

The veteran opener Quinton de Kock has reportedly decided to retire from international cricket after the 2023 World Cup, according to South Africa’s white-ball coach Rob Walter. Walter stated that De Kock initially planned to retire altogether after walking away from ODI cricket but convinced him to be available for the T20 format. Meanwhile, South African captain Temba Bavuma will only be available for the two Tests against India as he has been rested from the white-ball leg to manage his mental workload after a hectic World Cup campaign.
