Unfortunate Exclusions: 3 Players Overlooked for India’s South Africa T20I Squad

Team India has announced their strong squad for the upcoming tour of South Africa. The tour will include three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Tests. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the Men in Blue in the T20I format in place of Hardik Pandya, who is recovering from an ankle injury suffered during the World Cup. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have made themselves unavailable for the white-ball leg of the tour. The T20I squad includes players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, and more. However, there are a few players who deserved to be included but were left out. Sanju Samson, who has been picked for the ODI squad, was overlooked for the T20I format, despite his promising performances. Avesh Khan, who showed progress in the recent T20I series against Australia, has also been omitted from the squad. Axar Patel, who has been performing well in the ongoing T20I series against Australia, did not make the cut for the T20I squad against South Africa. These omissions have sparked discussions among fans and experts about the selection decisions made by the BCCI. Overall, the squad for the South Africa tour has been met with both approval and criticism.
