Daniil Medvedev steps into gaming industry
Daniil Medvedev is venturing into the esports business as a co-owner and investor in M80, an American esports organization. This move comes as no surprise, given his passion for gaming and recent partnerships with gaming companies.
Through a social media post, the World No. 3 expressed his excitement at joining M80, stating his admiration for the organization’s team and its founder, Marco Mereu. This move follows in the footsteps of fellow tennis player Taylor Fritz, who invested in esports infrastructure company ReKTGlobal in 2019.
Medvedev’s hobbies beyond tennis
Despite being known for his competitive and disciplined nature on the tennis court, Daniil Medvedev is an avid gamer and a fan of Formula 1 racing. He has previously revealed his love for video games such as FIFA, Fortnite, and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. Medvedev even showcased his passion for FIFA through his iconic “Dead Fish” celebration after winning the 2021 US Open. Additionally, the Russian has also engaged in friendly races with F1 stars in the past.
