Inter Miami superstar Lionel Messi recently praised legendary French footballer Zinedine Zidane. Zidane is widely regarded as one of the finest players to grace the football field, known for his playmaking skills, dribbling ability, and elegance on the ball. He won 13 major titles for club and country, including the FIFA World Cup (1998) and the UEFA Champions League (2001-02). Messi sat down with Zidane for an interview organized by Adidas Football and called him ‘one of the greatest players in history’. Messi also expressed his admiration for Zidane’s elegance, art, and magic on the field. Zidane played in two FIFA World Cup finals, winning one and losing one. He scored a brace in the 1998 edition when France beat Brazil 3-0, and also scored in the 2006 final against Italy. Messi, on the other hand, expressed regret over losing the 2014 World Cup final, despite his spectacular performance throughout the tournament. He finally got his hands on the coveted FIFA World Cup trophy when Argentina beat France in the final on penalties.
