A previous WWE Superstar has thrown down the gauntlet to Goldberg to have a retirement match. The 2-time Universal Champion has not stepped into the ring since losing to Roman Reigns at WWE Elimination 2022. Ryback, who last competed in 2018, has expressed his desire to return to the ring and challenged Goldberg in a video. In the video, he proposed a 1 on 1, loser leaves wrestling retirement match to Goldberg and urged him to call his agent, Barry Bloom, to set up the match.
At the Atlanta Falcons game versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Goldberg made an appearance where he handed a spear to a fan on the field and shouted, “Who’s next?!” This has ignited a buzz among fans for the wrestling legend to return to the squared circle for one more bout.
If the retirement match between Ryback and Goldberg becomes a reality, it will undoubtedly pique the interest of wrestling fans and provide a fitting closure to Goldberg’s illustrious career.
