Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai believes he can make a similar impact as Reds icon Steven Gerrard at Anfield. The Hungarian midfielder was signed for £60 million this summer as part of Liverpool’s midfield rebuild. The club also signed Wataru Endo, Alexis Mac Allister, and Ryan Gravenberch to strengthen their options in the middle of the park. Szoboszlai was given the No.8 shirt previously worn by Gerrard. He stated that while he wants to be himself, he would sign a paper if it guaranteed a similar impact or career at Liverpool. Szoboszlai has been impressive this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists in 17 appearances. Pundit Michael Brown believes that Liverpool are real title contenders this season and have the potential to secure all three points against Manchester City. However, he also highlighted issues in the Liverpool midfield that need to be resolved before the match.
